It is a rural location but close to Norwich and the ring road, so a great base if you have a car. The house itself is a gorgeous 1840s old rectory that is so homely and welcoming, we had a beautiful room with lots of windows to let in the light, and comfortable bed, with an en-suite. Our children had a room with two comfortable warm beds, like something from an old children's story book. The gardens are vast and beautifully tended, fantastic for a walk or playing hide and seek.
Sue and David are the most accommodating hosts, it was like visiting kind grandparents. Our children really liked them :) Breakfast was toast made from homemade seeded bread, homemade jams, raspberries fresh from the garden, eggs, bacon, grapefruit, cereal and yogurt, and proper loose leaf tea.
There is a sitting room and plenty of books, your own key to come and go as you please, tranquillity and calm.
We will definitely be going back for a treat weekend soon.
